Welcome to Humanize Image (“Humanize Image,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operated at humanizeimage.com (“HumanizeImage.com”). By accessing or using our website and image processing service (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Description of Service
HumanizeImage.com provides an online technical image-processing tool. The Service processes user-uploaded images and may reduce, remove, or alter AI watermarks, AI metadata, provenance information, authenticity markers, digital credentials (such as C2PA or similar standards), invisible fingerprints (including SynthID-style signals), and other embedded or associated information.
Important distinction: HumanizeImage.com supplies automated processing technology only. We do not decide, on your behalf, whether any particular image should be processed, published, shared, sold, or distributed, or whether removing or modifying any watermark, metadata, provenance information, or similar marker is appropriate, lawful, or permitted in your circumstances. You alone are responsible for determining how and why you use the Service and any resulting output.
Results depend on source material, settings, and technical limits of the pipeline. We do not guarantee complete removal of any signal, marker, or metadata.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and have authority to accept these Terms on behalf of yourself or your organisation.
3. Your Content and Responsibilities
3.1 Ownership
You retain ownership of images you upload. We do not claim copyright over your content.
3.2 Licence to process
By uploading an image, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, transmit, and process that file solely to provide the Service and then delete it in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
3.3 Your sole responsibility for content and use
You are solely responsible for:
- every image you upload and every request you submit through the Service;
- obtaining and maintaining all rights, licences, permissions, and consents needed to upload, process, use, publish, share, sell, distribute, or otherwise exploit your content and any processed output;
- compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, contractual obligations, and third-party terms (including social media, marketplace, stock-media, AI-tool, and advertising platform rules); and
- how you use, publish, share, sell, license, distribute, or otherwise dispose of processed images after they leave the Service.
3.4 Your responsibility regarding watermarks, metadata, and provenance
Because the Service may remove or modify AI watermarks, metadata, provenance information, authenticity markers, digital credentials, or similar information, you must independently determine whether doing so is lawful, permitted, and appropriate in your circumstances before and after using the Service. Laws, platform policies, contractual terms, and disclosure requirements vary by jurisdiction, content type, and use case. HumanizeImage.com does not provide legal advice and does not assess whether your intended use complies with any law, regulation, contract, or platform policy.
3.5 No authorisation of misuse
HumanizeImage.com does not authorise, encourage, endorse, or facilitate illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, infringing, or misleading use of the Service or of processed images. Availability of the Service does not imply that any particular use is allowed.
4. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct
You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. Without limiting the foregoing, you agree that you will not use the Service, or use processed output, to:
- commit fraud or other unlawful conduct;
- misrepresent an image’s origin, authorship, authenticity, editing history, or whether it was created or modified by AI or any other means;
- infringe or misappropriate any copyright, trademark, publicity, privacy, or other rights of any person or entity;
- violate any applicable law, regulation, court order, or governmental requirement;
- breach any contract, terms of service, community guidelines, or other binding obligation owed to a third party (including AI providers, platforms, clients, or employers);
- unlawfully remove, conceal, alter, or circumvent required disclosures, labels, provenance information, authenticity markers, or other legally or contractually mandated information;
- upload content you do not have rights to use, including content depicting illegal activity, non-consensual imagery, exploitation, or harassment; or
- attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, scrape, circumvent security or rate limits, resell access without permission, or otherwise disrupt the Service.
We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or cooperate with law enforcement or rights holders where permitted by law.
5. No Reliance; No Compliance Guarantee
The Service is a neutral processing tool. HumanizeImage.com:
- does not determine whether any particular upload, processing request, or downstream use is legally permitted;
- does not guarantee that processed images will comply with the policies, rules, or enforcement practices of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, Pinterest, marketplaces, employers, regulators, or any other third party;
- does not guarantee that all watermarks, metadata, provenance signals, or detector-readable information will be removed or altered; and
- does not monitor, approve, or control how you use processed images after delivery.
You use the Service and any output at your own risk and judgment.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service and all output are provided “as is” and “as available,” with all faults, and without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. Without limiting the foregoing, we disclaim any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, quiet enjoyment, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that processing will meet your requirements or produce any particular result. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits warranties or other rights that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (including mandatory consumer rights in your jurisdiction).
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- HumanizeImage.com and its owners, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunity, or reputation, arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages; and
- HumanizeImage.com will not be liable for any claims, penalties, enforcement actions, account restrictions, content removals, reputational harm, or other consequences arising from your upload of content, your use or misuse of the Service, your violation of law or third-party rights, or your subsequent use, publication, sharing, sale, or distribution of processed images.
Our aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD $50 if you paid nothing.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law, and nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
8. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HumanizeImage.com and its owners, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, and service providers from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, proceedings, losses, liabilities, damages, judgments, settlements, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and legal costs) arising out of or related to:
- your content, including images you upload and output you obtain from the Service;
- your access to or use of the Service, including any alleged or actual misuse;
- your violation of these Terms or of any law, regulation, or third-party right;
- your infringement or misappropriation of intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights; or
- your publication, sharing, sale, distribution, or other use of processed images, including any allegation that you removed or altered watermarks, metadata, provenance information, or similar markers unlawfully or without required permission.
We may assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, and you agree to cooperate with our defence. You may not settle any claim in a manner that imposes an obligation on us without our prior written consent.
9. Intellectual Property
The Humanize Image name, logo, website design, and underlying software are our property or our licensors’ property. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our branding or code except limited use of the Service through the website.
10. Changes and Termination
We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. We will update the “Last updated” date when changes are posted. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or terminate access for violations, legal compliance, security, or operational reasons, with or without prior notice where permitted by law.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in our place of operation, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction there, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country requires otherwise.
